Shaping the future of software engineering
Jun 10, 2026
• Transformative Impact: Resolve AI has become an indispensable tool for Blueground, enabling faster, smarter, and more efficient operations. • Team Empowerment: By providing actionable insights and dynamic runbooks, Resolve AI has enhanced the confidence and capabilities of Blueground’s engineering teams.“As we scale globally and integrate increasingly complex systems, I see Resolve AI playing an even bigger role—not just in troubleshooting, but in broader software operations. This partnership is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see how agentic AI-driven operations will redefine the way we innovate and deliver value.”
The third wave of AI in software engineering
This ebook explains the third wave, workflow-autonomous multi-agent systems, and shows how they cut the orchestration tax, improve investigations, and shift engineers from grunt work to creative work.
Learn how engineering teams are transforming software engineering with agentic AI.
Stratos Pavlakis, CTO at Blueground
Blueground is a global leader in proptech, offering over 15,000 beautifully furnished apartments across 46 cities. Catering to professionals and remote workers, Blueground has built a reputation for redefining modern living through technology and innovation. Its growing partner network of 5,000+ property owners and ambitious plans to list 100,000 properties by 2025 reflect its drive to expand and innovate in the long-term rental market. To support its rapid growth, Blueground has invested heavily in technology, developing a scalable platform that includes a partner marketplace and a franchising model. By leveraging AI for customer support and sales automation, Blueground is shaping the future of real estate technology.
Blueground’s transition into a tech-forward enterprise brought with it complex operational challenges. Key issues included:
• High operational stakes: Any disruptions could delay market integrations, new property launches, and partner network expansions.
• Complex infrastructure: A multi-region architecture with edge-located databases and sophisticated AWS and Kubernetes setups required high-level management.
• Time-consuming incident management: Engineers spent valuable time manually investigating logs during incidents, often late at night, disrupting workflows and increasing stress.
To sustain its growth and maintain service excellence, Blueground needed a solution to simplify incident management, reduce downtime, and alleviate the on-call load on its engineers.
Blueground implemented Resolve AI to transform its production operations. Unlike traditional tools, Resolve’s agentic AI acts as a collaborative decision-making teammate, seamlessly integrating with Blueground’s existing infrastructure, including Kubernetes, AWS, Datadog, and Slack.
Key Features of Resolve AI:
• Proactive Incident Analysis: Resolve AI autonomously identifies root causes and impacts within minutes.
• Dynamic Runbooks: Agentic AI generated workflows handle routine and novel tasks, reducing reliance on manual playbooks.
Seamless Slack Integration: Engineers receive actionable insights directly in Slack, enabling quicker decision-making.
Before implementing Resolve AI, on-call shifts at Blueground often meant disrupted sleep and stressful late-night troubleshooting. Engineers would wake up to alerts, open their laptops, and spend time piecing together logs from disparate systems to identify issues. This process was not only time-consuming but also emotionally taxing for the team. After Resolve AI, the story changed dramatically. Alerts now come with context-rich insights delivered directly into Slack, detailing root causes and suggested actions. Non-critical issues can often wait until morning, allowing engineers to rest easy.
“Before Resolve AI, any alert meant getting out of bed, opening my laptop, and digging through logs—often losing sleep in the process. Now, I can simply check Resolve AI’s response in Slack. If it’s non-critical, I go back to sleep knowing the team can handle it in the morning. My ability to do all this without opening a laptop is a game-changer for on-call peace of mind.”
Andreas Gounaris, Engineering Director & Platform Tech Lead at Blueground
Resolve AI significantly enhanced Blueground’s production operations, providing measurable benefits:
• Time Savings: Engineers saved 10–15 minutes per alert, with even greater savings during off-hours.
• Reduced Disruptions: Quick assessments minimized interruptions, allowing engineers to stay focused on high-priority tasks.
• Increased Confidence for Engineers: Agentic AI-backed workflows empowered team members at all experience levels to handle incidents effectively.
“Resolve AI enables even new team members to feel confident managing incidents, which is invaluable for a fast-scaling team. It’s like having a teammate who’s already done half the work.”
Stratos Pavlakis, CTO at Blueground
Blueground’s journey with Resolve AI is just beginning. The company plans to extend its adoption across more teams and deeper into its ecosystem. By embedding agentic AI workflows into daily operations, Blueground is poised to scale its infrastructure globally while maintaining efficiency and service quality.
Future-Ready: Blueground’s adoption of agentic AI solutions ensures it remains at the forefront of innovation in the proptech space.
